Our approach to Sober Living Social Justice includes the following principles:

  1. Equity and Inclusivity: We strive to create an environment that embraces diversity and
actively works to dismantle any barriers to access and inclusion. We are committed to providing
equal opportunities and resources for all residents, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender
identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, or any other aspect of their identity.
addiction. This requires a collective effort to foster a more compassionate and inclusive
society that recognizes addiction as a treatable health condition rather than a moral failing.
  2.  Education and Awareness: We believe in the power of education to challenge and transform
societal norms. We provide residents with educational opportunities that address systemic
issues related to addiction, mental health, poverty, discrimination, and other forms of social
injustice. By raising awareness and promoting dialogue, we aim to create a space where
residents can critically examine these issues and develop a deeper understanding of their
    impact.
  3. Advocacy and Activism: We encourage residents to become advocates for themselves and
others by actively participating in policy reform. Advocating for policy changes that prioritize
addiction treatment, prevention, and harm reduction strategies. This includes reforms in drug
laws, sentencing practices, and the allocation of resources towards evidence-based treatment
and prevention programs. We aim to empower residents to use their voices and take action to
address the root causes of addiction and social inequities.
  4. Collaboration and Partnerships: We actively seek partnerships with organizations and
individuals who share our commitment to social justice. By collaborating with community
stakeholders, we aim to amplify our impact, advocate for systemic change, and create a
network of support for our residents beyond their time in our sober living home.
  5. We believe that social justice advocacy is an integral part of addressing the underlying causes of
addiction and supporting residents in their recovery. By incorporating these principles into our
community, we strive to create a safe, empowering, and transformative environment that not
only supports individual recovery but also works towards a more just and equitable.
